What exactly is the purpose of having multiple materials of tweezers? Like brass/bronze, titanium, steel, etc. I know that bronze and brass don't scratch the parts, so why not just use those? What's the purpose, aside from different shapes, of those other material tweezers?

All of my tweezers are stainless steel, and if you learn how to use them properly then that's all you need. You shouldn't be applying enough pressure to cause damage, and SS is non magnetic so that's not an issue.

I do have brass lined pliers because you want a smooth surface and a relatively soft material there because greater forces are involved.
