Does anyone have any experience with Doxa's dive watches? They seem like a very interesting brand and have a very cool design. I don't know much about them, so any opinion/comments are welcome.

Yes I've owned a couple. A 5000t pro and a 600t-graph. There's pics of both on here but I'm on my iPhone at the mo so not the easiest for me to copy the links in to this post.

They're great watches (if you like the style of course!) but there are a couple of things to remember. Firstly they wear MUCH smaller than their size suggests which is because the bezel sits quite some way inside the edge of the case. If you are used to 44mm Breitlings the absolute smallest Doxa I'd recommend is the 5000t at 45mm and even that will seem smaller than it's size suggests. The 5000t is also the least typically Doxa style with the newer bracelet design and the polished metal hands and markers. Lots of Doxa purists kick up about these points as they prefer the painted markers and the traditional "beads of rice" bracelet.

The second point is that they are quite of lot of money for bog standard ETA movements although the 5000t uses the 2892 which is a nice piece of kit. They make up for that with decent enough build (if not Breitling standard), and proper diving heritage.

Lastly Doxas customer service can be "patchy" to say the least, and it's worth remembering that their warranty is completely NON-transferable so if you buy used you will have no warranty at all.

That said, as I said at the top, they're great watches with a very cool retro look. If I was looking to buy one now I'd be getting the new 4000t as its the biggest Doxa yet and has a power reserve subdial. Nice!
