I have a good friend that is interested in purchasing a Milus TriRetrograde. What are your thoughts on this brand with regards to their history, craftsmanship, and reputation?

I'm a big fan of the designs, but they suffer from the same problem that a lot of these brands have - a lot of money for a lightly modified generic movement. History is kind of irrelevant as it's a totally separate company - current Milus was re-established in 2002 with backing from Hong Kong (although watches are Swiss) and it's really only the name that is the same.

Fit and finish in my limited experience is very good and if you canget your head around the value / movement argument tehn they are nice, unique pieces.

I never said that.

They are designed in Switzerland, they are funded by a Hong Kong based company.

I guess I was assuming that since funding was coming from Hong Kong, so was influence over the design(s) of the brand.

They're currently doing a huge campaign here in Switzerland. You see them everywhere.
