What do you guys think of this? Stopped in a store today on a whim and almost bought it for my wife. She says she wants a rectangular watch. Though it looked sort of timeless. They seemed to want to deal. IIRC $1300 and offered it to me for $970 even though I said I was just looking. They said they were going to stop carrying the brand and were motivated to sell what they had. I figure if I was serious I could get it for less. Tried on a white/Orange Rolex Milgauss while there....liked it!

If she likes it, go for it. If they are dropping the brand, I think 40%+ off should be doable. Plus, ladies watches are tough to sell.

I'm not a huge fan of that leather strap but the dial does look nice.

The orange markers on the white dial are just too much. Try the black or the green crystal model. Here's mine.

Nice watch and RJRJRJ is right - ADs liquidating a brand typically sell for about 40% off. They don't have to worry about the contractural limitations with the distributor, need to clear the decks, and still make some $$ selling for 60%.

Have to agree the strap seems out of place. It is less formal than the watch purports to be. Maybe if it was a gloss finish brown or black. Chicks dig black anyway.

They had all three. While they were all nice I liked the white/orange the best. They also had an all gold Daytona with black subdials. That was a pretty groovy watch.

It's pretty nice, does your wife prefer bracelets to straps is probably the only question I have. I know that my wife won't wear a watch on a strap, but she also won't wear a watch that costs more that $200, she thinks it's a waste of money

As for the Milgaus, I also prefer the white dial, it's just so different from any other Rolex that it really stands out, but the black is nice too. You should just get the WG Daytona, what's another $15k?
