Hello

I have been looking for a new watch now for 18 months, I saw a Breitling in Dubai that I really liked and have since regretted not buying it. I have not seen a wach that has really grabbed my attention since.
The other day I saw a Maurice Lacroix Croneo MP6318 that made me feel the same way but I dont know much about them.

What I would really like is an unbiased opinion on this watch, I am willing to buy the watch because I like it and would be happy wearing it which to me matters the most but what i dont really want to do is spend £1500 on a watch if it is overpriced and really not worth it for the quality.

Thank you in advance

Lee

I always felt neutral about ML, they have some nice watches but they are stretching a bit with the pricing I think.

If something there really catches your eye, go for it. But buy to keep, as there is virtually no second hand market for them and no following that I know of.

I do really like the display backs on many of their watches, shows off the nicely finished movements on their chronos.

If you like it buy it for you. If you think that maybe one day you'll want to change it, don't bother - it will be worthless resale.

To me, I can't get past the name - too much money for the name and not enough for the watch.

Thanks for your replies.

As I said in my first post I do like the watch and am willing to buy it because of that. What I am not willing to do is pay over the odds for a watch that I dont know that much about.

I cant say that I will never want to change the watch so I never really think about the resale value. I like the look of the watch now but who is to say that I will in 2 years time.

Thanks again
Lee

Pure coincidence - I just had a look at my mate's MP6318 - it's absolutely stunning.
I can't believe he's had it sitting in a box for 5 years unworn (he's not a big watch fan) beacuse if I had a watch like that I'd wear it with pride and joy.
Do as the rest of the guys say - if you can afford it and you really like it a lot and would get joy from wearing it (for instance like I do from my Breitling Chronospace like no other of my 20 watches) then go for it.

Like Altair, im neutral on ML. If you like the look, you should take a look at Longines (master collection) and Baume & Mercier (classima series). They have a lot of models that look a lot like the ML in question at very reasonable prices.
