Sorry but I'm not 100% sure what you're asking.

If you are buying a pre-owned/used watch, then there are a lot of things to look out for to make sure you a buying something genuine and in good condition for a decent price : we can help you out with this if that's the case. If you're looking at buying a brand new watch, then it really comes down to personal preference as Time Bandit suggests.

Give us a bit more info and we may be able to help.

You're losing your touch again Driver8..........

Read that first sentence again - a brand new member subtly mentioning the name of a site that sells fake watches. What do you think comes next????? :poke:

Then look at this URL and see if you recognise the username and his website - http://www.brandsoftheworld.com/users/saniyalan

I've edited the post to remove the name of the fake site and he won't be back to edit his signature.

A number of people join the site and make one or two generic posts. A couple of days later they come back and edit their signatures to add a commercial URL, the thought being that by adding the URL a couple of days later the moderators will miss it. Do it often enough and they will drive some traffic, plus of course it adds to the links to their site that search engines use in calculating rank orders. The post doesn't make a huge amount of sense because his English isn't great.

Most of these posts are caught by Driver8 or myself before people ever see them, but Driver8 has missed a couple in the last week or so so I need to dig him a bit.

I've left the thread here in the forlorn hope that it might be a warning that we are on top of things like this - yeah I know, fat chance that those people will ever read it.

OK, OK! I'm at work today (allegedly working very hard as it's year-end here in finance), so I didn't try pasting the site name into google. For some reason I just assumed it was a shop or something!

Damn, that's two I've missed now!

I guess we must be grateful to have you Roff, along with D8 that is, in spite of his two misses.

Good to know your shields are never down. :D
