I Love the Deepsea but as mentioned the bracelet is way too thin for the watch and i dont think Rolex make a bigger bracelet that you could fit to it??

as much as i want to like the Proprof....it just looks like a toy to me...so it can Plop - off LOL!

Deep Sea all the way, tried one on AGAIN at fourtanes in Carmel yesterday and the watch is just perfect! Was wearing my Seawolf and Josh Bonifay (owners son) thought it was a sweet watch but the DSSD is just a whole other level!

Like others before me have stated, I'm not a fan of the case on the PP. To be fair however I've not seen a PP in real life, but it is just so unconventional for my tastes at this time, that I just can't bring myself to like it. The DSSD is a classic and much more conventional IMO, this is why it appeals to me personally.

Sea Dweller. Because I can't really imagine a situation or occasion when it would EVER look wrong. Classy. Stylish. Practical. Robust. Sporty. Classic. Dressy (Okay, maybe slightly less than dressy, but not bad in a suit... 8) ).

Deepsea all day long!!! I own a Deepsea ,and couldn't see wearing the ploprof. The ceramic bezel is great ,and the bracelet is super comfy to wear.

My choice will the DSSD. The Omega is great watch but the looks is not my cup of tea.

DeepSea Seadweller or even Submariner before the Omega, no competition.

If it had to be an Omega it would be this one :

"Omega is a sponsor of the Solar Impulse project and they developed this special Solar Impulse HB-SIA chronograph to commemorate this amazing project. It kind of looks like a modernized Omega Moonwatch and I like the orange detail which also gives it a retro look. The watch case and bracelet are titanium and the dial is made from carbon fiber. The watch features an exclusive Omega Calibre 3606 whose revolutionary Co-axial Escapement and free sprung balance deliver long-term stable reliability and accuracy and it is a COSC Certified Chronometer. On the back of the watch we see the Solar Impulse HB-SIA designation with a graphic of the airplane and notice each case is individually numbered. It also has the Swiss Chronometer designation on the back." (Jake's Rolex Blog)

Gert, great pics of the DSSD, it looks perfect in that NATO strap in my opinion. I also love that Omega, I just noticed that on their site yesterday.

Heathens! Is there no respect for the Ploprof heritage on here!? :poke:

No, as I said above, I like both, but the Ploprof wins over the SDDS by a whisker IMO. Oh and I really dislike that Solar Impulse Speedie that Gert posted. Carbon fibre dials don't do it for me at all - they always look way to busy for me.

I have no clue how there can be so much love for the DSSD with that ostentatious chapter ring. It has about as much class as this....

Yeah, that's Pharrell's gold G-Shock.

I really am not a Rolex guy but the DSSD is really awesome looking.

Funny that Piccard turned to Omega for this project because Breitling had supported all his previous projects. Wonder why...
