Ask me on another day and I might give a different answer.
The only way I could get my head around the question is:
If your watch collection was doomed by a natural disaster, what would like to have been wearing, and therefore saved, to limit the upset. :boohoo:
My answer is my 1995 Chronomat P.A.N. frecce tricolori
Not too blingy with its combo of polished & brushed stainless. Very legible read with its white hands and large lume markers. Historical value as a 10 year celebration of the new reborn Chronomat.

Sorry about the doom-mongering, it's just that I could not honestly imagine deliberately having only one watch. :?
The only answer was to think of an action beyond my control and a watch I like for many reasons that would be tricky to replace.
Of all my watches, it is the frecce tricolori that would have me scouring for an exact '95 replacement and therefore the one I would like to keep the most.

Easy. My 1903. Great watch with special memories attached.

My first swiss watch was my Navitimer. I fell in love with its iconic styling and heritage and when I couldn't quite wrap my head around affording one, my brother surprised me with my Navitimer A23322 for Christmas.

Needless to say, my world was changed and a new passion (or obsession as my wife would say) was born. I would have to keep that watch it my others were doomed.

Now if I could pick any watch in the world to own... It would be a Patek Nautilus Chrono 5980!

But what a great sentence! Now remember this was on a thread where the OP asked whether a Breitling would be valuable in case of a catastrophic event or natural calamity.

I wouldn't have bothered to look it up if it were crap. Actually, that's not true; if it really sucked, I probably would have tried even harder to find it. But not in this case.

After a lot of consideration I think my white SA would be the 1. It would just nick it in front of the Skyland.

PS I'm renowned at home for wearing these 24/7 for the last 20 years, you wouldn't catch me in anything else, classics!
