Great review of a truly FANTASTIC watch. Think I might finally go and pick mine up this weekend!

About flipping time :poke:

Yeah yeah! How long was your Chronomaster sitting at your AD for BTW? (I think it was your Chronomaster wasn't it?)

Yeah, but that was a PO'd at Zenith pricing policy thing :P

No, I've had a few other expenditures lately - house things, and buying a new car - and as my AD was gently hassling me over paying off the remainder, I told him to sell the one he's had for me in his safe to someone else..... which he's done. I still have the deposit down on a Ploprof, just not the one he's been storing for me! He said all I've got to do is give him a call when I'm ready and he'll get me one in. Apparently there's not much of a wait, so that's fine by me. As soon as I get it I'll be posting up some pics.

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on this great timepiece once you get hold of one, Mr Driver.

How's this for feedback...

I've only ever seen these in generic "mug shot" photos and wasn't interested.

After reading your review and looking at your shots, I'm in love. History, engineering, craftsmanship, rarity... everything one could want in a watch.

I need more money.

Thank you for that extremely generous feedback Mr Yellow.

If I am responsible for turning somebody onto a watch that they previously hadn't considered, through one of my write-ups, I would be very happy and proud.

I hope you succeed in getting a Plo Prof one day. You'll love it.

I thought I should revisit this thread and add a picture I took on holiday two weeks ago.

My wife and I are keen mountain bikers and we take our bikes on holiday with us.

We were near Kielder Water in Northumberland this time.

This is a picture I took for all those WIS out there that are scared to use their robust utilitarian tool watches in unpredictable circumstances.

I've included this on the end of the Review Thread because it is a great testament to the confidence I have in the watch and the movement to "treat" it in this manner.

Apologies for the poor quality phone picture:
