I've already got one watch in hospital, now another has to join it, for the same problem (broken crown). I'm happy they're covered by warranty, but I'm not looking forward to the prospect of being without 2 much-loved members of my collection for a few months.

Just had to vent that. :x

Actually I was contemplating buying another two.

Perhaps not straight away for the second one, but I should have something new on the way by the end of this week.

Congratulations are in order then! I have an idea over what, as I'm sure we all do, however also don't want to make an assumption. Looking forward to hearing all about it.

Which of your watches has now joined the injured list? Very sorry to hear that, It's not a lot of fun and is something with which I can commiserate as I also am missing a watch :(

By the way, while I'm thinking of it, what do you think of the seiko orange monster. I find myself seriously tempted as i've always fancied a seiko. They're really cheap as well. Sharky gave some good advice but I know you have/had one also. Do they wear big at 45mm?

No decision made on the new one yet, Tim. I'm flip-flopping on it about every half an hour.

The Panerai is the new one on the injured list. The crown won't click back in after winding it. It's been dropped off at the dealer, they think it might be weeks rather than months, so that's good news.

Yep, I've got an orange monster, in fact I've been trying to sell it for a year (a mate said he'd buy it but has never got around to paying me for it). It's only 40mm and doesn't wear big, perhaps similar to a Rolex Sub, although the styling is very different obviously.

Otto, what do you really do to your watches?

Seriously though, hope you get them back soon. And as you say, that's always a good reason to get more...

I bash them against doorframes with the crown unscrewed.

Seriously, I don't know, I guess the crown is just a very delicate part.

The 111 is having issues? That's the first time i've heard of a 111 playing up.

Sorry to hear mate. Keep onto Richmont - don't let them send it away!
