Fell head over heels over it at the AD  Just the nicest sport watch I have ever seen, and the complications are the most useful to me, GMT and Alarm. Perfect! Plus the blue is much more befitting than the red, plus it is for a great cause and an LE of only 350!

Cost is kind of prohibitive though, anybody know of a retailer who discounts it heavily? 30%+

Would LOVE a heads up if it is not too much trouble!

Does George carry Jaeger? might try him out.

Yeah, thanks Driver!

I like Ti, as long as it is grade 5 and well worked. JLC do an amazing job with the stuff.

Have you seen it in person? I think you would change your mind

Will probably have to let a couple go though, those Omegas I have have been getting zero wrist time lately.

I'll be honest, no I haven't tried it on, so I can't really say. However I'm a fan of the standard W-Alarm Extreme..... with two minor exceptions that have always irritated me a little. Firstly, what's the alarm set "bar" on the dial made of? I've always assumed it's red (or in the case of this one, blue) plastic as I can't imagine it's glass. If it IS plastic that would bug me. And secondly I don't like the way the alarm-set hour wheel doesn't align exactly with the window at the ends.

VERY minor things but enough to bug me on a watch of that calibre......, and also enough to make me prefer the Extreme World Chronograph instead.

I've said this before about JLC, but I find that I like a lot of them, but I don't like any of them enough to buy one, and that's where I am with this.

There are a few things that bug me - Driver8 identified some of them, but also the crown size relative to the case.

Attractive, but I really do not like Ti.

I also like it Altair but it isn't my favourite. I'm more into the Master Control series such as the Master World Geographic.

Hope you find it a price you're willing to pay.

What a watch! I am certainly going to read more about it. The thing that amazes me the most, is that it is only 7.78 mm thick! It would be great to see one in person. Not for me ever to buy, but I would like to see it. Even if I could afford it, just too many complications for me.
Can't wait to see your pics!
Cheers,
Carl

It's actually only the movement that is 7.78mm thick, not the whole watch, Carl. The watch itself is quite chunky if I recall. It's 46mm across, and I think it's something like 16 or 17mm thick.

Of course, that would be it. I couldn't imagine a watch like that being so thin. I must have been so excited about my new Rolex, I wasn't thinking straight
Still a gorgeous watch. The AD where I got my Railmaster now sells Jaeger, so I will have a good look at them when I am next out there. I am sure there won't be a LE, though. I must say, though, that I have never been a fan of their popular Reverso models, but some of the others are gorgeous.
Cheers,
Carl

I'm with you on both counts there Carl.

The Master Compressor Extreme World Chronograph is probably my favourite JLC at the moment, but there are still a couple of things that prevent me from buying it. (And price isn't one of them). There's just a couple of things about the dial that put me off very VERY slightly.
