When you buy a Blancpain timepiece, do you get the elaborately decorated and hand-made box they show in their catalogs? Probably the higher-end timepieces for sure, but how about their cheaper models? I'm not sure if anyone will be able to answer this or not since I have never heard anyone talk about Blancpain here. Thanks

As you suggest depends on the model, I know the Divers come in a waterproof plastic case (ironic inst it?)

Haha ya... ironic indeed. Ok. Thanks. I was just wondering because I just received their catalog in the mail and the watch boxes look absolutely AMAZING!!!

I bought a pretty much entry level Leman Grande date and it came with the wooden box (not sure if this is the 'elaborate' one youre talking about though).

Well the one I saw in the catalog had a key hole. But yes! Definitely the one i was talking about. Such a nice box!! So, I'm assuming that little push-piece/button at the front side is to open it?

There are a few threads on Blancpain (including the very nice boxes) but as you say, not many. As Altair said, most (apart from the divers models) come with nice inlaid wooden boxes, and as you guessed, the further up the range you go the more fancy the box tends to be.

Ya, I actually flipped through the catalog again and I saw that they actually had multiple boxes of the same design. One was the one shown in this topic, the other was the larger one with a key hole.
