Thanks Guys - yes i am loving it. I saved a long time for it and am now in the habit of saving so already saving for my next piece. this is a classic automatic so as a contrast I want a day watch that will take a bit of hammering and be ok on the beach and for a little light swimming so am looking at a COlt Quart II in black on a Diver strap. Like the idea of a superquartz being different from an automatic. However, just realised that the Superocean Heritage is available in black in the 38mm size too and that has entered the frame to confuse my thoughts. It is also a beaut on the new "mesh" strap.

So yes I am loving it and am smitten with the bug too.

Good work with that Navi Beastmaster. He's a belter!

And I'd agree that the Colt II is a quality "everyday" watch, but you're losing me on the Superocean Heritage I'm afraid! I'm just not a fan at all, and IMHO the mesh bracelet is just plain horrid! (Apologies to anyone who has one - just a personal opinion). I tried on both the 38mm (too small) and the 46mm (too big and plain) and neither did anything for me at all.

But I'm glad you've got the Breitling bug! Look forward to more watches and probably fewer holidays abroad as a result!

lol but I need the holidays as needing a watch for the beach is the excuse I'm using for getting a second Breitling!

I think it will be the Colt Quartz II but I have to spend my time agonising over the decision. Blacksteel Skyland looks awesome but my little wrist just wont carry it off!

I really want a Skyland myself (not the blacksteel one though actually), but my AD still hasn't managed to get any in stock! In fact the first person I spoke to hadn't even heard of them yet!

Nice Navi! Looks a lot like my Silver one, 'cept your is black!

I love small seconds complications.. but like it was mentioned.. 38 too small, and 46 to big and plain. I tried on the 38 for kicks but yeah.. i dunno.

The mesh bracelet was actually kinda cool.. it has the standard breitling clasp on it.

Driver,

What part of the moon are you living on that they haven't even
heard of the Skyland!? Oh, I'm sorry, I keep forgetting
you're from the other side of the pond. Over here
they're so plentiful we just have to wish aloud "I would like to
have a Skyland" and it magically appears on our wrists.
Well...I'm exaggerating a little :)

Seriously, I hope you get one soon to add to that handsome collection
of yours. You really do deserve one, you know.

Steve

LOL! Yeah the UK can be a bit backward like that!

Actually Steve, my post was almost a year ago (23rd Oct 2007)...... which was before I got my black dial SA, which rendered my then desire for an AS a bit redundant.

Damn it, Driver -- there I was really getting nasty with you in another
post, having a wonderful time delving into your psychotic past, trying to
turn the entire Forum populace against you...then I stumble across
this lovely little note from you...and I almost feel a little guilty about
my behavior. Actually, I'd feel so much better if you'd really get pissed off
and let me have it. C'mon, be a pal...
