I have recently got a few strap varieties and decided this morning to try a few of them on. Most of the straps are 24 mm, so I started out with the eligible ones (the Montbrillant Legende is for natural reasons excluded from this exercise) - here goes the SA in a few different costumes:

(As the title is "Strap happy", I left out the option of the ProII)

Honey tan Hornback (Jns strap):

This one is really thick, and that makes it go very well with the rather bulky SA.

Next out, a Python (ABP):

Now, slipping into a Stingray outfit (K-straps):

I haven't received the buckle for this one yet, but it should be here any day.

And finally, on the OEM brown croco:

All looks great except for that Stingray thing... sorry, but to me it looks horrible.
Anyway, nice to see some variation. Makes your watches feel like new every time.

Looks great aleister!

How do you like the python - I've been looking at one but not sure whether the scales will catch on things - they seem to stand quite proud.

Very nice indeed, BUT I must confess I am STILL a sucker for OEM Breitling straps the most.

Like Roff I've been wondering about the durability of those snakeskin pieces.

Very nice Aleister, I very much approve of this attitude

So much fun to change straps isn't it?

Thanks guys. :)

Tim: It does look good, but my own favorite so far is the hornback. ;)

hnb: It's perfectly ok. I'm not sure either that the stingray is a good idea, not convinced yet, but the deal on this one was too good not to gamble a little.

Roffensian & Driver: The python seems to be very durable. I've had it for quite a while now and even if I don't wear it daily, it gets a lot of wrist time. Several times I've heard the strap scratch on my clothes and I've expected the strap to start giving up, but it still looks just like new. Sure, the scales stand up a bit and catch the sweater/shirt every now and then, but that doesn't seem to hurt them.

Altair: I fully agree. :)

:) The tan hornback looks great Aleister. I'm into buying straps at the moment and looking at the OEM Lizards. However am impressed with your collection, particularly the look of hornback/black dial combo

I agree with both of you, Mario and Armchair pilot - the tan hornback gets a good share of wrist time. :)

Thanks for posting the pics. Brown croco for me. Not liking the stingray at all.
