Hi Guys,

I'm heading overseas at the end of this month and am contemplating my next watch purchase to make the most of the tax saving and AUD. I can get about a 30% AD discount on most models, and a further 10% GST tax saving by traveling. I will most likely go with another Breitling but I'm having trouble choosing form the incredible selection on offer. I'd love to see some pictures from those of you with a Super Avenger paired with some popular models. I currently have a 2008 White Baton's Super Avenger.

What should I pair it with? The watches on my shortlist and in some sort of order of preference are;

Bentley 6.75 - no strap/speed (white/blue/black) ($6000 AUD)
Navitimer World - Pilot (black/blue) ($5400 AUD)
Chronomat Evolution - Pilot (graphite) ($5000 AUD)
SuperOcean Heritage Chrono - Mesh (Blue) ($4400 AUD)
Montbrilliant Legende - Fixed (Black) ($5100 AUD)

Those prices include all possible discounts and tax savings. I guess what's confusing me the most is the color choice. Having a white SA, I don't necessarily want another white Breitling. Also, you will notice the 6.75 has no bracelet/strap listed. My budget is supposed to be about $6k AUD and this will only get me the head. lol. Should be able to come up with the funds to get myself a nice croc on tang though for another $500-600 AUD I guess. The World has what looks to me from pics i've seen online, an older style clasp. Has this been updated at all?. The Chronomat Evo while no small watch, still pales in comparison to the SA and other options im considering. I am a fan of big watches. Although having a piece that fits under your sleeve would be nice.

Let me hear your thoughts and see your pics please!

Jay

You could always pick up a Chronomat with either batons, romans, or arabics. Here's mine

You still selling that Chronomat? I think I saw a thread recently where you mentioned it. :)

I looked at that exact model the other day at the AD. RRP here is about $9000 AUD ($5800 USD).

That's with no discount or 10% tax saving. I've never considered a gold watch, but it looked awesome on the wrist.

Funnily enough, the Graphite dial BCE looked bigger though. I think the Gold bezel might make the dial look smaller.

Yes and no... the post is still listed in the sale-department... however I like it very much and actually wore it last week, and now I am not sure if I want to part with it. Nothing beats its sleek, classy feeling and finish!
While the SA and soon-to-arrive Seawolf are better "everyday" watches with great rugged looks, the Chronomat just shines in comparison...

I've gone and confused myself further and am now looking at a lightly used Ulysse Nardin Maxi Marine Diver...

Not a Breitling but one hell of a watch for the money. RRP is $7500 USD but im looking at about half that.

Just over my budget I explained earlier but a hell of a watch for the money.

Nothing's decided just yet. Basically its out of this, a new PAM24K and a new Breitling (World or 6.75)

I'm not able to get the colors you wanted to an exact match, but here are something that will help you size-wise.

SA and black 6.75:

SA and white 6.75:

wait how big is the 6.75? Is it 48mm or 48.7? In you las pic it looks very noticeably larger in diameter than the SA, like more than .3mm

The 6.75 looks to be angled back further than the SA, giving it the perception of being 'taller'.
