Great watch - crap photos as is my distinctive style :?

Obviously my photography skills don't do this piece justice, but it's an amazing piece. I've tried to shine some light on the dial to show the colour a little more clearly - it's truly incredible. It's taken a while to find this colour dial, and I paid more than I hoped, but it was well worth the wait.

The lume is very good on this watch - obviously my focus was slightly off - I'll try again later, but it is one of the brightest lumes I've seen on a Breitling.

That is a rare beauty! I think the pics are great. It doesn't matter how good the pics are though, you have to see the thing in person to believe it's beauty. I was blown away by the lume shot, unusualy with all those numerals showing up! That is a very rich looking dial, as you say it must have been hard to find.
Are the numbers on the calendar actually red?
Have a great weekend! Mine will be one of the best - I am going to my AD in about an hour to pick up my new Seawolf, then I will come home and play around with the camera. It will be on an OR strap, which I don't think we have seen before on a new Seawolf. I hope my success with the pics is half as good as your's!
Cheers,
Carl

Thanks Carl - you're too kind.

The date wheel is indeed red on this - really stands out well.

It must be very exciting to be able to pick up your Seawolf - your feelings on this watch have really come through in the posts - and the OR will be a great combination - looking forward to the pictures!

Thanks, Roffensian,
I just got back with my new Seawolf! I remember the good old days, when I picked up my first Mercedes - a 240D - back in 1978. It was followed by 4 more, but the excitement was always there, I should even say with many a tear in my eye. Now the excitement has changed to Breitlings, but the level of that excitement is no less! Things in life just seem to happen for a reason. Now I don't even drive, nor have the desire to, and I used to take lengthy road trips. Now, I travel very little, but when I stay at home, I have this passion to feed my wants and desires. How fortunate I am!
Pics to follow very soon. I am more than happy with the OR strap on this Seawolf!
Cheers,
Carl

Nice one Roff!

Glad to see SOMEONE with a Le Mans has managed to take a decent lume shot! I tried a few times on mine, as it's a great effect, but using a camera phone is not exactly conducive to producing great pics!

I love the colour of the dial on your top pic. Very dark and understated. A great piece indeed! Congrats again.

Camera phone's don't do well for lume shots. The ideal situation is a camera capable of leaving the shutter open for a few seconds mounted on a tripod ;)

I'd go a bit further and suggest that camera phones don't do a very good job at photographing watches full-stop! Unfortunately I've never been that into photography so that's all I have at mo. But I have to say, with all the great pics some of the guys here produce, I'm seriously considering getting a half reasonable camera!
