Just experimenting with this pic. I'll work on this pose again in the near future to try to improve the shot... ![]() Cheers, Ron ![]() |

I had a "former" (watch holder) inside the strap to keep the shape. I double back taped the buckle of the strap to a slate floor tile to hold the watch in place. I "hovered" the camera over the watch using my fully articulating tripod and set the shutter on automatic ten second delay. The light is natural from behind and diffused with a white cloth (baby diaper). By placing the "kit" lense (18-55mm, Canon Digital Rebel XT) as close as the focal length will allow for automatic focus and "zooming" in or out to fill the frame, the depth of field becomes the reason the background is fuzzy, thereby making the watch appear to "float". I use only Picasa3 (freeware from Google) to edit the white balance and color saturation and Irfanview (also freeware) to "Losslessly" resize and sharpen the pic. Mario, if you could see me shooting pics you would probably laugh at how simple it is to do and especially how silly I look doing it... ![]() Cheers, Ron |
