...well, here are the results. This is the collection as it stands and it will be like this for a while (unless I hit a monster jackpot in Vegas). Notice that none of the watches are quite as they came from the factory: the Skyland is on an Ocean Racer, the Steelfish is polished and the Chrono Avenger... well, I'm sure you can figure that out :D

Great set! The polished Steelfish looks especially great.

I'm currently an all Breitling man as well.......... although that is likely to change again in 2009.

That polished steelfish is really sharp. How did you get that done?

I had it done locally, it's actually not a very good job. The case is OK, but the person who did it missed the areas between the links that I specifically asked to have polished. So, when the bracelet is flat it looks fine. But, when worn and the bracelet bends around my wrist, the brushed sections between the links show.

There was a thread about polished Steelfish here a while back, that's what got me thinking about it. I PM'ed a couple of people and I got 2 good leads to have the polishing done, one in San Diego and one in Florida somewhere. I ended up taking a chance and having it done locally, since the jeweler that did it assured me that it was no problem and would come out nice. I wish I had sent it to Florida, I may still send the bracelet to have a first class job done.

If you want more info you can PM me, I still have the names and contact points for the 2 jewelers that were recommended.

EDIT: Here's the thread that started me thinking about having my Steelfish polished: http://www.breitlingsource.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=3355

So where did the bezel from the Chrono Avenger come from?

LOL, that's another mod that started here - I told Nelson that this place is trouble :D. There was a thread about custom diamond bezels and someone posted that they had a jeweler that specialized in Breitlings. I eventually contacted that jeweler and he did the work on my bezel. The diamonds are G-H in color and VS2/SI1 in clarity and the jeweler told me that these are the biggest stones that he could fit in the bezel.

PM me if you need more info.

Is it also possible to brush a polished finish? Anyone know of such a thing? :?: :?:
