My Emergency has arrived! I really love it, especially the strap which is so dark! It was sad to see the Super Avenger go but I am glad I have now!!
As usual my photos aren't great but I hope you enjoy them! The last one is with my Pilot's log book....please don't laugh that I only have 1 and half hours of flight time!!

Nice watch indeed!

It's always a shame to see a watch go to fund another (especially an SA!), but at least you've replaced it with another Breitling! :D

That's 1 and a half hours more than I have, so there's definitely no laughing here!

Thank you for the replies guys. I was nervous that it would be too small but I think it is just right!

As for the flying driver8, i'd highly recommend it. I cannot wait to get back up again! After university this year I hope to go all the way and become a pilot!! :D

It isn't as small as I had expected it to be. I know it is only 43mm but everytime I glance at it (which is quite often  ) it looks pretty big!

Side by side however, it would be a different story I suspect! :)

congrats. that watch is sick.

i tried a blue dial one after I got my SA and even though it was smaller and lighter, it felt fantastic on the wrist. The titanium construction is superb and the yellow dial screams out professional. all in all, it looks deadly, especially with a digital UTC.

Whats the legibility of the digital read out in the sunlight and in the dark?? i would have thought the emergency line watches would have a backlight of somesort.

Yeah, it is a pity there is no backlight but I must say, the lume is excellent on this watch!
The digital reading isn't great when the light is fading but in natural light, it is great!

Nice watch...and don't ever feel bad about having only 1.5 hours in your logbook...even Chuck Yeager had only 1.5 hours at one point!

I have been flying for over 20 years and just went over 3300, but most of that is in the military. I only have about 200 hours of private time. My Dad has been flying private for about 40 years and has about 2K. It adds up, so keep working at it!
