I'm on this board semi-regularly, but a bit of a lurker.

In any case, I own a stainless Bentley with the 44mm and white face (not sure of model #, but attaching a photo). I love the watch and never wanted to really find something else.

When I found out that my wife had picked out another one I told her not to get it, as I was happy. She made me go look at it - it was the stainless Transocean with the red gold crown and brown croc strap. We were debating it some until she saw the all-gold one.

I'm not a shiny yellow gold person, but once I saw the red gold with the complementing face, I knew that the bar had just been reset - there was no going back - either suck it up or don't buy the other one. Wife said JUST GET IT. At least I bought it from my AD in Delaware, where there's no sales tax.

So, now that I got through the first couple of days of price shock, I'm in love with this watch. It's just not as blingy as the other one - if I had a son it would be a great heirloom.

In any case, photos below...let me know what you think.

Very nice. BTW the Bentley is a GT with a Silver Storm dial. Very nice too.

Beautiful TOC in the gold! Congrats :-)
(most of us usually have the opposite experience, with the wife dragging us out of the store!)

I think you have done very well indeed. Congratulations on the watch and for having an understanding wife. Red gold is a thing of beauty in my opinion, especially if you don't like yellow gold.

The Bentley is a great model too. It’s just right in tone and I for one like that model a lot, as its understated. So, double congratulations from me.

I think it's very sharp. If you are looking for a son to pass it down to, I'm your guy! I can wash a car, walk the dog, cut the grass, you name it!

I'm not a big B4B fan, but that gold TO is beautiful on the brown croc strap. Well done.
