I just picked up these to add to the collection. I'm sure there are going to be mixed feelings for the Franck Muller.

I don't think the mixed feelings will only be for the Frank Muller.

Hi zbrockman06,

When you say you picked these up, can you share the circumstances of how this came about? 3 stone encrusted watches in one go (I assume). You have me curious.

Yes in 1 go, I work closely with a local jeweler (good friend) who picked them up in a deal and then sold them to me as he doesn't have a market for stone encrusted watches. I'm debating to sell them or keep them. I also just traded some Rolexes in on 5 new Breitlings :lingsrock: . Picking them up next week. Love having a good friend who just happens to be an AD, definitely has it's perks.

Since you'll be curious about that deal as well :D
I was going to sell the rolexes as I like to switch things up regularly and sell watches regularly, I told him about my plan of selling them, he wanted to purchase them (big rolex market for him) he allowed me to trade for 5 New Breitlings. Seemed fair to me as if I decide to sell the Breitlings I'll make more then just selling the Rolexes Privately. Those will not be encrusted with diamonds so maybe you haters will like those :lol:

'Haters' is a strong word. :) I don't hate them as such, its just that they do nothing for me (like others here). Its hard to reconcile in my mind what they are for, other than ostentatious jewellery :D But that's besides the point. Its a matter of personal taste and if the AD has a ready market where he can off load these, then I would 'bump them on' as well. If you can get a reasonable swap of 5 Lings, then why not. Thank you for the back story. :lingsrock:
