Had to check them out.

I've been intrigued by JLC for quite sometime. I know quite a few members have had pieces from them. I've noticed that they're not as abundant on the secondhand market and this one came up awhile ago on another forum and it really was enough for me to trade in one of my Rolexes to make the acquisition. (Plus cash on my side) Might I say I am blown away by everything. The fit, the finish and the functions are top notch.

This one's got the "Autotractor" caliber 975 auto beating at 28800vph, all wrapped up in a handsome "compressor" style case. I did plenty of research on this piece as there are some excellent write ups on PuristPro. Can't quite date this piece but I'm expecting it to be within a 7 year window.

Came on the original honey calf strap which still is very wearable with an OEM single deployant but in the spirit of a new watch and until I can stomach spending 400 bucks or so on a new OEM strap, I picked up a 21/18 TWB rubber/kevlar style with white contrast stitching. For 30 bones it's perfectly
fine. I also have a 21mm black NATO that I'm just waiting to put it on. Of course part of the beauty
of this hobby IMO is the freedom to do such things, but don't hate me for it guys.

All in all, this one's probably going to be the last for awhile, but we'll see how long I can suppress
my urges. But I am very satisfied and fortunate to have picked one up from a storied brand at a fair price.

Congrats, beautiful watch. I'm a fan of the compressor line; they look great on the wrist. I miss my MCC2 and NSA LE; they guy who bought it wont sell it back to me :guns:

Enjoy!

Yes, they do make a good watch. The layout on the dial is really nice. There's a lot of substance to a JLC. Congrats on a great pickup.

Thanks guys. This piece is probably an amalgamation of all of the JLCs I've seen here owned by our different members over the years. I know there were quite a few members that have owned or own one from the MC line.

I'm still trying to come to terms to grab something from Breitling's contemporary line but we all know how a lot of us feel about the current offerings. That's also a whole different topic so I won't go there but I'm pretty sure I'll come full circle to acquire one from our beloved brand in the very near future though.

Great watch, Andrew. Like you I'm attracted to JLC. I'd love the deep sea memovox. But I'd gladly wear this one!

Sick watch! I like the date configuration, and I say leave it on that kevlar strap! Congrats and enjoy.

Thanks again guys.

So as usual synced it with my iphone stop watch and as of 41 hours it's within 1 second.

Guess the 1000 hours test really works.

Gorgeous watch!

It hugs your wrist perfectly, and looks like it was made for you.

Love that caseback, with that gold medallion in the center!

You got the right idea. Have fun with it, and try numerous straps and bracelets!

Cheers,
Carl
