grabbed some pics on my drive to the office today, thought some of you might enjoy them.

the ref. 7102 transOcean is based on the Valjoux 7740, it was introduced in 1969, together with the - very similar - transOcean Chrono-Matic cal. 11; a busy dial with pulsations, tachy & 100th, but quite lovely, really.

A Beautiful tool watch and if it only had a C, D scale rule, I would be onto one for my own in a flash. But alas, its out of scope for me.

Still beautiful though.

That is a stunning piece. Those hands are exquisite. This is a strong contender for my next Ling. That's if I can find one.
A bit on the smaller side for me. But it is so unique. There is just something about it that I am drawn to. Amazing

@superavenger13: compared to U Boats and SAs it might be a bit small, but for a vintage watch it actually is quite huge, the watch head is about 42mm wide and 48mm high !

Yes. 42mm is really small compared to what I am used to wearing. But it is so different and beautiful might have to make an exception. The height of it might make up for it at least to the naked eye, at least for the simple fact it wont look like a ladies watch on me.

That's my suit size

I think that convention would say that a lug to lug measurement be given but we all knew what you meant I'm just the only one nasty enough to pick up on it (I know I'm nasty, I'm getting PMs telling me)

define lug on the 7102, please ?

Not so strange. Length x width x thickness, or length x width x depth.

You could explain the measurement, such as Lug to Lug, but in this case its more like case tangent point to tangent point. Now, thats strange!

Length is probably the clearest... but height works as well... or even depth I guess if you start measuring from the 12 o'clock down rather than 6 o'clock up!
