Hi everyone,

I picked up a brand new Breitling Aerospace Avantage from Banks Lyon last week. The sale was made through Aziza who managed to get me 2 free Breitling items (cap and travel case), which is very rare here in the UK!! This model has the black volcano dial and titanium bracelet.

I highly recommend Banks Lyon, a proper Breitling authorised dealer, highly knowledgeable staff and superb premises. A big thank you to Aziza for being so helpful and friendly :D

Pictures to enjoy :D

Many congrats, they're superb watches.

FWIW it's an Aerospace, not an Aerospace Avantage (which was 2005-6).

Ah right, my mistake. I am sure I have seen this exact watch called that.

FWIW MatrixGuy I know what you mean. (and your right).

The "real" (original) Aerospace didn't have a back light facility and had lume arabics.

This model only appeared in the 06 Chronolog as an Aerospace Advantage due to the original Aerospace still being available and Breitling had to differentiate the two. Once the original version was no longer available Breitling were able to drop the Avantage from the name. I think purists still refer to the latter as the Avantage for clarification as to which watch they are referring.

Same thing happened with the Diver Pro strap. The later "block of rubber" style was referred to as the Diver Pro II until the original "BREITLING" strap was obsolete when the later strap adopted the Diver Pro name.

Nice piece anyway. Congrats.

1] I'm aware of 'Avantage' entering parlance but thought the OP might simply want to know what Breitling call his watch.

2] What do you mean, "Once the titanium version was no longer available Breitling were able to drop the Avantage from the name"? The Aerospace is still made in titanium.

Thanks Rick. I was torn between the black or silver dial, but I decided on the black :)
