Post subject:  Emergency before and after service

Hi,
I'm a newbie in this forum and to owning Breitling watch! If this thread ended up in the wrong forum, feel free to move it. Recently I had the opportunity to buy an Emergency for, in my opinion, a good price about 1750€. I had some question abut the service, so I posted a thread in this excellent forum. You'll find the thread here: Emergency first service looong overdue? I'm using it daily and I love it!

I got an estimate from Breitling on a complete overhaul and service. Due to some problem with the quarts movement, they wanted to upgrade to a superquarts. I also had some options to replace other hardware such as the crystal, bezel, body, chimney and crown. The total for this healthy upgrade would be about 1500€.

I thought it could be interesting to post before and after images of this watch. So I intend to do just that in this thread. The service should take 4 to 6 weeks, but I'll post the before images now and post the others when the watch gets back to me :lingsrock: Feel free to comment your thoughts in this matter! I'm also watermarking my pictures. Sorry for that, but I have found my pictures in some strange places before, like fake auctions and such

This is the star in this show :D

I'll post more images tomorrow!!

The box for the watch is amazing. I think this watch was made in 2000. It was sold the first time in 2004. It was produced in the "pre-dvd" era

I'll guess the box was designed before "civilians" or "non-flying-persons" could buy the watch and have seen very little changes since.

There are a lot of stuff coming with the clock. I have all the paperwork for this watch, even the original amex slip for the transaction.

The back side of the ELT tester. A rare view of this device.

The bezel is pretty banged up and scratched. The watch is definitely used. When you get up close you can see all the filth, dust and grease. It need to be taken care of badly!

You can see the thin hairline scratch in the ARC going from number two towards "z" in MHz.

Can't wait to see the end product. Give us a full run down once it is returned on what they replaced or refurbished. Makes a great make over story.
