Don't much like that brown calf with the black dial - may be better with a gold croco or the black calf you have on order. The watch itself is beautiful. Love the "valjoux" layout - feels more balanced to my eye. |

Having spent a little time with this particular watch but never taking off the bracelet, there is an almost-vintage feel to some of the accent colors, the silver-ish white and particularly the gold wings, that should work well with the brown. I do agree the gold like Tom just bought could really make it pop, but I admit I'm most excited to see that piece on a black strap. And I agree with Ian--the dial layout is my favorite. That, with the brushed finish, make it a great piece. Looking great, Terry. |

Don't discount the black calf. Sometimes I think it is a better look on a Navi than the black croco. Just makes the dial pop. Black is the way to go, no doubt. Says the guy who changed out the black alligator for the bracelet 1/2 hour ago! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Yeah, thinking of a black calf myself. Croc looks just a little too formal and not enough of an 'original' pilot look for me. Had a brown calf left over so thought I would try it for now. Thanks for comments. |

Depends though... The alligator has more nuances than the calf, making for a more balanced look (considering the finely detailed navi dial)... Here's an example: |

I also prefer the 6,9, 12 subs configuration on the Old Nav II. Aesthetically it "balances" the pushers/crown better than the tricompax configuration IMO. I love the "stick" markers on the dial but I like these Arabics better because they are the same as the Cossie and they are not "cut off" like the larger Arabics on later Navi's... ![]() Best, Ron ![]() ![]() ![]() and for something completely different... ![]() |

Looks pretty good Terry, even with the black dial/brown strap thing going on. I agree though that a black calf would look awesome. Watch looks fantastic on the wrist! |

The thing I do like about this layout is the quick-set date vs. the 23322 setup. Fully lumed arabics are the way to go - Ron, great piece! Black calf looks good. |
