Hi guys, I'm new here so first of all I'll introduce myself: I'm IRONman, 31 years old, living in the Netherlands and for many years now very interested in watches. Especially Breitling. Finally, after several years of orientating and comparing different models I decided to purchase the Breitling Super Avenger (black, steel). See pictures below:

Till now I always had quartz watches. So it's a bit strange now of having an automatic watch on my wrist. Because it feels like the watch is alive!!!

I've compared many different models but at the end I had to choose between: Avenger Skyland, Avenger M1 and the Super Avenger.

Really nice watch!

I just purchased a Skyland(Black) and luv it but have to admit that I nearly went for the SA in white but as I was not in a position to try one on I thought it may have been a bit to big. I'll be straight to the AD's next time I'm on the mainland to try one on tho!

Cheers.

IRONman,

Welcome to the land of the obsessed. You've chosen a wonderful
watch and you're going to have a lot of fun with it. I was recently
in a similar situation -- SA or Skyland? I chose the Skyland
(blue dial) because I was more comfortable with its size and
I simply adore its dial layout.

You phrased perfectly what all of us feel when we try to explain
(to the non-believers) why we love mechanical timepieces:
"Because it feels like the watch is alive." No quartz piece -- not
even a Breitling -- gives you that kind of thrill.

Again, welcome aboard and savor every moment you spend with your
new SA.

Steve

Exactly, very difficult explaining to non-believers. You must feel an automatic watch! And not for a few seconds but for many days/weeks before you really know what it feels like. It's also not only the real feeling (vibrations) but also the 'relationship' you have with it. (What do I say? Relationship?) I think you know what I mean... ;-)
