Let me preface this by stating that I'm a Super Avenger fan. I like large chunks of fine steel, and sometimes I just want a watch with great wrist presence. I only let my SA go to get this one. My initial impression of this watch when it was announced was pure joy. Large, refined, in-house, chrono, and GMT. All qualities I like. After doing a little research I could not wait for this watch to come out. I also read the Watch Time review, and it made me want one more. So when my AD called me to tell me she had one with my name on it, I got excited. The watch she had was the black-eye grey dial. I liked it, but wasn't in love with it. Now I got what I paid for my SA and used that as a down payment, but if I'm gonna spend the kind of $$ that this watch costs, I better LOVE it. She let me test drive the black-eye grey, but I soon brought it back and told her to order me a black dial with silver subs. I love that combo on all Breitlings.

Well so far this watch has not disappointed me. The dial is truly stunning, and I noticed different qualities almost every time I look at it. In certain angles it is just amazing. The quality is superb, and what we expect from Breitling. I have had it 6 days, and it's running a consistent +3-4 seconds per day. One night I even slept with it on with the chrono running. I have worn it on the bracelet, a dive pro "hershey" strap, and both versions of the ocean racer. Super comfy on the rubber straps especially. My AD has a XL black calf incoming for me so I am excited about that too. Over all, I am very happy with this watch. The only thing I would change is the bezel - I would prefer it brushed with GMT references (i.e. 2,4, 6, etc). It also spins kinda loosely. Not the tight clicks I would expect. One note that I found interesting was that the Watch Time review gave it higher marks than the JLC and Vacheron Constantin watches it reviewed in the same edition. :) This watch is not for everyone, but what watch is? I have gotten used to the fonts, etc. I have gotten more compliments on this watch in the past week than any of the other watches I have worn this year.

And now for the crappy smart-phone pics! Have a great Sunday guys, Don

Congrats Don, looks great on your wrist. It looks great on both the bracelet and rubber! Glad to hear that you are enjoying it. The 44mm has me very interested since I have much smaller wrists. Nice pick up!! Enjoy. :lingsrock:

Congrats! It's such a fantastic looking watch, but way too big for me. I can't wait to try the 44mm version!

Congrats! It looks good on your arm. I tried on the 47mm, but it's just to big for my frame. I'm really looking forward to my AD getting this in 44mm because I really like the watch, but not the size of it.

Based on your pics and the ones I've seen in the AD's display, that's quite a stunner you picked up. Way out of my range size-wise, but realy, really nice. Congrats.

Very nice, Don. You've got one of the few good lookers that Breitling decided to put out in recent memory.

Nice, really nice. Bonus that you have so many straps for it. Really changes it up. I like the OR best for rubber. The PD1 looks a bit old for that watch, while the PD2 a bit bland. Of course that bracelet is one of the best ever from Breitling. Enjoy!

Grats Don on the nice pick up, it looks stunning on the rubber OR and I love the sub/dial combo you picked. Be sure to post some shots when you get the Croc strap and again...Congrats!

Well, that is a pretty nice chunk of fine steel. It surely is a stunner and looks just perfect on you. Huge congrats on the pick up Don.

Great looking watch! I really like the big GMT red arrow hand, makes the watch really pop.
