Well the digital date on my Emergency quit working so without digging out the manual, I think its the indication that the battery needs replacing so I just mailed it off to BUSA. I wear the Emergency everyday so its probably due for a overhaul anyways.
I have a Suunto Vector that I wear for hiking, biking & skiing etc but the thought of being without my daily watch at work got me trolling this site and ebay. Titanium was my only option and I don't like anything too busy so the Avenger Seawolf was the obvious choice.
I found this beauty on Ebay. Everything is complete and the warranty book is dated Jan 2010 so I guess it was bought new as old stock or the warranty book was just filled out after purchase? Is there anyway to confirm that? Theres even the card to mail off for a free pilots cap. The reason I ask is that my 10yr old Emergency has all the papers intact but the warranty card was never dated at the time of purchase.
Oh and the instruction book has no published date on it but I notice that on the inside it shows a pic of the new style watch. Does anyone know when they started using the new books on the old style face? I briefly had a yellow wolf last year from a reputable Breitling dealer and the booklet was the same way. Just curious. I am happy with my purchase but now will have to buy a watch winder as when my Emergency comes back that will still be my #1 :D

You can date the watch itself by the code on the 6 o'clock lugs - http://www.breitlingsource.com/articles_dating.shtml

You'll need to contact BUSA to see if they can help with when it was actually sold.

Cheers Roff, I just popped off the strap but I need a darn magnifying glass. I tried to use a pencil to shade it in and even a sharpie but nothing would highlight it. It looks like 0407 35
