I’ve been looking for a black dial Superocean on a Pro II, not a Pro I for a while. Got a 6 month old one for a song only because it was really scratched up. After resizing and a mere 20 minutes with a Cape Cod cloth, here it is before and after (I’m LEARNING!) –

Nice pickup, how did the clasp come out? I think it would look pretty damn cool brushed.. especially on an OR...

A lot better but I'm on the run right now. It will take more work and I may enlist the aid of member mah to bring it back to brand new. Right now it is close to any other polished watch I've worn for a month, including the clasp. Really amazing and for sure the DPII is now reserved for this one. I had a new blue dial SO a few months ago, but the problem was....it had a blue dial!

A day with mah at his unofficial watch spa and the job is complete. LNIB.

Looks like I need to toothpick the “Breitling” and 1884. Some residual polish.

I still haven't tried a Cape Cod yet, I figured I would "wait it out." This thread makes me want to skip the waiting...(for a service)

Wow, what a difference. Plus, I had not seen that variation of the dial before, lume outlines on the secondary arabics and solid lume on 6,9,12. I really like that.

The dial was available in 2009 only. Before that the numbers were filled. After that....the Abyss came out. I did prefer the pre-2009 dial simply due to the numbers being lumed. But this will do.

Need lume shot. I'm intrigued.

Lume is pretty weak - just the 5 minute ticks and hands. That's why I was looking for the 2008 or 2007 version with the older dial but a Pro II bracelet. Since I don't plan on diving with it, should be a keeper. Plus it was bought new in May of this year.

Sufficient lume but nothing to write home about -
