I'm new to the forums and just wanted to say I'm glad to be here and happy to finally be a Breitling owner, it's just amazing!

Don't mind me as I try to learn from all of you about Breitling .

Appreciate you're patience with a Breitling rookie.

Welcome. Might I ask how/where you acquired the Breitling? AD? Second hand?

The reason I ask is because for a Chronomat Evolution, I'm afraid there are some issues as to genuineness.

Sure,acquired in Moscow ( Zolotoi Vavilon).
It is a used one.

Yes, unfortunately that watch is a fake.

I was hoping I was wrong, so wanted to wait for someone with more expertise to weigh in. The 01 and 46 minute ticks should be short and they are not. The date font for the 9 is the wrong shape and too small. Date wheel is slightly sunken.

Sorry to have to tell you this. It is a very good fake, but a fake nontheless.

It's the version 1 Evo fake, also missing the 11 tick mark on the 12 o'clock subdial

Sorry , but i really dont underatand. How come it is a fake? It's just cant be fake, i am sure it is just a photo lag.

As Roff indicated it is a known version of a fake Ckronomat Evolution. Thr small size and shape of the 9 in the date window alone is sufficient. The date wheel is slightly sunken. There is no denyting the minute ticks (minute hash marks) at 01 and 46 - they are supposed to be short. And as Roff noted, the 11 minute tick on 30 minute subdial at the 12:00 position is missing.

All these are known flaws with a large production run of high quality Chinese fakes. The movement is a Chinese mock up of a Swiss Valjoux 7750.

I am sorry as I know this must be quite upsetting, but it is 100% a fake. You need to get your money back.


Below is a pic of a genuine Chronomat Evolution. Notice on the 30 minute small dial, there is a minute tick for 11, right next to 10 - it is missing on yours. Look at the 46 and 01 minute ticks on the main part of the dial - they are short, but normal size on yours. Most notably, look at the difference on shape and size of the 9 in the date wheel.

sorry you have to face this harsh reality, but there is absolutely no doubt the watch is fake.

if you aquired it a Zolotoi Vavilon (a huge high end shopping mall, "Golden Babylon") I hope it was at a prestigious store and not a stall at the mall ?
you have to get your money back, fast !

No, they vanished into thin air about 20 minutes after I posted the picture of my Evo for comparison. I have a feeling Lex and Kelly have vanished as well.


(I don't for a minute think L&K fit what I'm about to say, but lately I wonder if the site is sometimes used by folks testing the waters to see if their fake passes scrutiny before it hits the bay? Or am I paranoid?)

I have thought the same thing from time to time. Although if that is the case they would be at the wrong place. NOthing gets by the source. Back to the drawing board fakers

It's not new, it's been happening for years, although there have been a lot of posts that meet those criteria lately.

I see an Imageshack error on these posts saying that they breached Imageshack's terms of service.
