A few months ago, I heard that there was a limited edition (of 100) GMT version of the Steelfish. I love limited editions and find GMT watches really useful when we're on holiday etc so I set out to find one.

My first call was Andrew Michaels jewellers but I knew it wouldn't be an easy search because even he didn't have a clue about the watch. He'd never heard of the GMT edition and told me he quite fancied one himself.

In that time, I've seen around3 or 4 come up for sale but each time, either there was an issue with the watch, or an issue with the seller!

Finally, one showed up on a forum the other day and after a few PMs, I went over to pick it up yesterday. It had just come back from a Breitling polish and when I say it looks new, it looks NEW! As soon as I got it home, I switched from the Pro1 strap to the Pro2 strap I bought a while ago. I think it updates the watch slightly although I do think it suits the Pro1 really well.

What's more, the seller was an absolute gent to deal with and I'm sure we'll do so again in the future.

Here are some pics I took this morning:

That is a beautiful watch.

Congratulations on a great watch! You don't see the blue dial LE very often. I've only come across one for sale in the US but, the price wasn't right for the condition and no B&P.

My white dial says hello!

Both are looking great and very special indeed.

Yours though has a red square on the seconds hand compared to W44NNEs. As both are LEs and limited to 100 pieces, if I'm not mistaken, does the square mean different vintages?

@F14D_Tomcat - Great observation. My watch had a complete overhaul at BUSA last year and consequently came back with a Colt GMT handset. The OP's watch has the original hands for the LE model.

Aha, thank you for the precision.

How do you feel about the change? Did Breitling tell you they were going to use different hands during the overhaul?

I read about similar changes in the past and sometimes they were significant. If it were me I think I'd be upset not the get the watch back looking the same way especially on an LE.

Well, in this case it makes it even more of an LE IMO

I would have preferred to have an original hand set but, I'm not too bothered since I have the service slip from BUSA that states they made the change.

Not much Breitling or we can do about it. This was a very limited edition and the hands wouldn't be available.

Great watch. The GMT just sets it apart a little from the crowd.
