When did you pick that up? I must have been sleeping  .

I do like the arabics over the batons. How well do the polished steel ones show up on the black dial?

Congrats!

Yesterday!

The arabic’s show up quite well. Especially in low light they seem to gather available light. The subdials are quite deep. I like the black date wheel as well as the yellow gold applied wings logo (it’s huge) which harkens back to the painted gold wings logo of the discontinued standard Navi. The bracelet tapers from 22mm at the lugs to 18 at the clasp. So far (36 hours – LOL) it’s dead on to the atomic clock.

The 2 pusher takes a little effort, but the 4 resets the chrono smoothly. It was unexpected at midnight to actually hear the date change, but kind of cool.

Mostly, the size (diameter and thickness) gives it pop. Any other comments will be withheld at this point – it would be like deciding you have fallen in love and want to propose marriage after the first roll.

Are you sure about that? Isn't the clasp 20mm? That's way too big of a taper.

Yes I'm sure. It looks elegant and wears quite comfortably.

There's no doubt that the Navi bracelet is one of the nicest bracelets on ANY watch. But I did not know Breitling made a 22/18...usually their bracelets and straps taper 2mm. Very interesting.

Wow, those pics in your 2nd post are really nice. Looks like the polished arabics match the sub-dial hands quite well. Do you know just how thick it runs compared to the regular Navi at 14.6 mm?

Have you heard if any other dial colors are coming out?

Not sure on the thickness - perhaps my assumption was wrong there. Haven't heard about other colors. I don't recall the website showing color options.

Still haven't taken it off except to shower. And it has picked up 2 sec over 50+ hours after being dead balls on for the first 30. OMG it's galloping!!!!

So after 2 plus days..........this is just a terrific watch. It's hard for me not to stare at the dial.

Website is just showing black dial at this time - a silver version with arabics might be interesting. Also, they are not specifying thickness and weight on their new models for some reason (?).

Sounds like you might keep this one for a while...couple weeks anyway :?:  . Hope it keeps running well and enjoy!

I like this one better than the LE. The arabics, black date, and gold wings are all nicer. The white date wheel with a not quite black and not quite red font color is annoying on the LE. If this watch had a display back it'd be perfect. What does this case back look like?

More or less standard with Farenheit/Celsius conversion. I do like display backs, but on the ones I had I found it cool for about a day and then forgot it was there, but that's just me.

On a simple dial, I like a white date wheel at 3 as it helps balance out whatever is at 9 (often just 9!). But if you are squeezing in a date window at 4:30, I much prefer it be as subtle as possible so as to not detract from the symmetry of the dial. To me, that means a black date wheel on a black dial. But again, that's just me.

Many Congratulations Mr Sharkman.

Very, very nice indeed.

This is the perfect Navitimer for those that are not so bothered about display backs.

The dial is absolutely spot on with the black date display and the applied arabics.

I would still have liked to have seen a display backed version though personally.

I agree. It's a cleaner look.
