I leave this friday for an 8 day canadian bass fishing trip with my grandpa. We will by flying into MN and then driving several hours to the Superior National Forest. From here will will canoe and fish in and around the border waters. This will be gramp's 25th year going with the same fishing buddy. This year they decided to each bring a family member to carry the bulk of the weight as they are getting up there in age. Sounds like a hell of a way to spend Memorial Day with family. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Nice pics and have a great time. I take it you meant the "boundary waters." I spent two great vacations there. Bring plenty of insect repellant. Last time up there our guide dropped us off for a week deep in the middle of nowhere. After a nice sausage and egg breakfast we set out for some serious morning fishin'. A couple hours later we paddled by the campsite only to see a bear raising hell with our campsite. While the food was a couple hundred yards away and high in a tree, guess the smell of sausages smoking was on the tent. We yelled and beat the water and side of the canoe with the paddles as the friggin' bear shredded our tent. My buddy, about 6'5" and almost 300 pounds, got out on shore and started throwing rocks. The bear wasn't amused and I swear my friend ran on top of the water back into the canoe. With me laughing my ass off we finally resolved to wait it out and pop some cold ones. "Get me a Bud out of the cooler." "I thought you stocked the cooler." The most frustrating 4 hours of my life. |

That strap is beautiful! I think the SOH is one of those watches that can be had with a number of unique straps like PAMs |

That sounds great Thomas. You understand of course that you will have to post some pics of the catch of the day(s) when you're back. ![]() |
