As I'm on a roll with the pics I was thinking there are a lot of new guyz here who maybe havn't seen some of these pics from my collection so here you go. I really need to take some new pics but never seem to find the time, anyway, some bad but some good. Cheers First ever Breitling bought nearly 3 year ago now(July 08), Skyland Avenger. For some reason when taking these photos back then I never took any on the bracelet. I never use the red OR but sometimes use the black but mostly it's worn with the bracelet. ![]() ![]() ![]() Next up was the Super Avenger. The bug had definently hit at that point and was my second Breitling in around 6 month, bought around November 08. Love this watch and definently gets the most wrist time and would be the one I would keep if I could only have one! Mostly worn on the bracelet but have purchased an aftermarket brown croco which is worn now and again and totally changes the look of the watch. I also purchased a blue OR but don't really like it so it sits and collects dust. ![]() ![]() ![]() Then came the SOHC 125th Ann. in December 09. What can I say, beautifull watch and thank god I didn't sell it at the end of last year. Don't wear it that much really but when I do it's usually on the black OR, really dresses the watch down but still looks really sharp. Lately I've been wearing it on the bracelet which I've really started to like and seems to get the watch noticed far more. Anyway love it and its a chunk of a watch. ![]() ![]() ![]() Next was the Montbrillant around May 2010. Can't believe I sold this just a few months later but thats another story. Even though you don't have the ability to change the bracelet its an awesome looking watch with a beautifull dial. I know some folk don't like the gold markers but to be honest you really have to be looking closely to see them. This is a big watch nearly wearing as big as the SA but not as chunky and could be worn casually or to any kind of suit event. Someday I'll get another! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Last but not least the Panerai 312. Bought this around August last year, at the time I really wanted a Pam and after much mind bending between that the 000 and the 112 it was the 312 that got the nod. Its a classy looking watch, very elegant and yet so simple and the open case back is great. Totally different look to the other watches I have but I feel I can wear it to anything. It came with the rubber strap as well as the black leather and usually I change between the two when I'm going to wear it. At the moment though I'm not to into it which is a pity, hopefully I'll get the feeling back though. I guess I'm just hanckering afte the Montbrillant at the moment but anyway I can't complain really. ![]() ![]() ![]() Well, the 312 has now gone to make way for the Navitimer World, a watch I never thought I would own. First impressions, I love it, the face is beautiful and the bracelet is great to. For some reason I thought this thing would wear bigger than it actually does but I've not worn it in public yet so we'll see who notices out of my pals! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Well folks thats it from me. I didn't really intend to make this post so big but I'm a bit bored this morning and it all kind of ran away from me there. Summing up all of the above though, I'm very lucky to be able to have four 'luxury' watches as in some people can hardly afford to feed their families but I can afford to splash out £££££'s on mere timepieces to feed the 'fad' I have. I'm extremely lucky to be in that position and never take that lightly. I'll leave you with some group shots, many you have seen before but I'm sure many haven't. I'm not much of a photographer but some of the shots in this post seem to have come out quite well, certainly the latter ones. Cheers ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Great shots Andy. I still cannot get used to your, now famous, Breitlings on Fire pic. ![]() I also think it's a pity they discontinued that red OR. |

I am also a 2008 inductee to breitlingsource.com! Wonderful pics! The PAM 312 doesn't seem too much smaller than the SA! Probably cos the bezel is not as thick as in the SA. How does the muted look of the PAM feel compared to the flamboyance of the Avengers you have? ![]() I love the red OR too! Been looking for it. Pity they discontinued it. Great collection! |

Both the SA and the 312 are 'meaty' watches but you definently notice the SA on the wrist more than the 312. The SA is just a massive chunk of metal whereas the 312 with the strap is much lighter obviously. Not sure if there would be much difference in the two if you were to put a bracelet on the 312! Well I've not been too active on here for a good 18-24 months for different reasons but I find myself hankering after a new watch so what better place than here to look around and see whats going on in the watch world than here. I remember from a couple of years ago that the regular members/posters on here were quite concerned and disappointed in the way Breitling seemed to be heading......hopefully thats changed! |
