I took this picture to post at another forum, so I thought I'd share here as well. These are the only watches that I wear, I sold off everything else. I don't expect this situation to change anytime soon, unless I hit the Megabucks (or something like that) in Las Vegas

Great shot! I don't have the CA, but have a Steelfish like yours, but black dial, and Skyland Blacksteel. I love the Ocean Racer strap you got for your Skyland. IMHO it looks better on that model than any other strap, including the PRO II. It seems to be made for that watch, even though it originated with the SOH. I love the Blacksteel, partly because it is a Limited Edition. However, I have to say that the Skyland with the Ocean Racer strap is probably about the sexiest looking mens watch that I have ever seen. If I had a choice of only one watch, it would be a tossup between my Blacksteel or that one. I am very fond of the Diver Pro with the Blacksteel. I intend to keep it that way, simply because it is a Limited Edition, and it has the blackened clasp. I think an Ocean Racer strap would look amazing, too, only the stainless clasp wouldn't work. I have actually ordered an Ocean Racer strap for my Steelfish. I think it will look incredible, especially with the round markers on the dial. It will probably be anothe month or so before my AD gets it in. I got a small camera recently, so I will try to take a decent picture. I am very excited to actually see a Steelfish with the Ocean Racer bracelet on it! ( doesn't take much to get me excited!! ) Now I have to practice my photography. I have yet to see the Ocean Racer strap on a Steelfish, so I will need to post some pics. Thanks for the photo. I really like your collection, including the CA. Cheers, Carl |

Hey Carl, thanks for the insights. My Steelfish actually has a black dial, that's why I put the Ocean Racer on the Skyland. The concentric rings on the Steely dial make the black look somewhat blue or gray, depending on the light. The black Slyland dial matches up nicely with the black Ocean Racer, and the polished case looks good with the polished clasp. Having said that, I would love to see your Steelfish on an Ocean Racer - after getting the Racer for my Skyland, I like it so much that I'm considering getting one for my Steelfish as well. |
