I've only had it a few minutes and so far I LOVE IT.

Quick review....The finish is incredible, the color is unlike anything I've ever seen, and it's built like a tank. Certain angles it looks grey and certain angles it looks brown; it's very unique looking. The chrono hand sweeps as smooth as silk and I love the large minute counter which reads along the outer edge of the dial.

As Shark said, when winding the crown...I can't even think of words to describe it. On the downside, the deployment is poorly designed and quite cheaply made...it can't even compare to a Breitling Deployment...but not many can. The croco strap is thin and very comfortable and the closed ends are a very nice touch. More details to follow.

**EDIT** I forgot to mention.. Thanks to my man Shark for finding this beauty for me!! I shoulda just waited for you to sell yours! :poke:

WOW. It looks even nicer with a proper picture. NO offense Shark.

[quote="mfserge"] the closed ends are a very nice touch. [quote]

What exactly is a closed end on a strap?

Closed ends on a strap is where the strap meets the case (in between the lugs) the strap is molded along the case line....No Gap.

Congrats Sergio, glad it worked out for you! I placed my order for a short croco on deployment today. $600 my cost - no idea when I'll get it.

While at Tourneau in Scottsdale over lunch toying with a completely different watch, the manager came over to be the deal closer, saw my Type XXI sitting there and couldn't stop talking about it - "Ooooo a Type XXI." (As an aside, my first Tourneau experience was singularly unimpressive. Plenty of nice watches but packed into the equivilent of a mall popcorn shack and with staff about as knowledgable. If the other ADs I've used are Saks, this was Walmart -without the big discounts.)

Sorry - don't want to steal your thread. One thing I'll promise, you will appreciate this watch more when you put it on tomorrow. As for the deployment - given the amazing bang for the buck of this watch, it could be made of baling wire and still be a deal!

Congratulations Sergio, that was certainly quick after Tom's.

Seriously though a fine looking watch, very glad you're happy with it.

Thanks... Actually, Tom found this watch for me on another forum and gave me a heads up. Turns out the seller lives locally and is a huge watch nut; it worked out great for me...and I got it on the cheap.
