I went to Selfridges today and have decided to pull the trigger on a White baton dialled Super Avenger.

I tried it on and love it, but am not very keen on wearing it with the SS bracelet, firstly because I'm not really a bracelet type of guy and second because it's way too blingy for me.

I think I will go for a strap but am undecided as to which to go for, so to those who have gone bracelet-less on their SA, could you please post some pics up of your rubber/leather/croc straps to help me decide.

Thanks in advance.

I don't have pics of a super avenger, but if you have a small wrist (less than 7") I recommend the black rubber/leather strap.
Otherwise buy the SS bracelet.
Good luck!

I have quite small wrists, I think their just under 7 inches, thats why I don't think SS will work for me.

Does the SA come with the option of buying on a strap or do you have to get it with SS and pay extra for a leather/rubber/croc strap?

Yes, you have the option to buy with the bracelet or strap you want. Take a look at your AD to see them before buying.

Morning from sunny Bath,

I suggest you buy on steel then you always have that option (buying the bracelet after costs a lot more).

Here is a thread with some strap option pics.

I bought my first Breitling (a Colt) at Selfridges in the 90s (memories........)

Enjoy your SA.

Quick question. Doesn't Breitling price there watches buy adding the price of the head to the price of the strap/bracelet? Why would it be cheaper to buy the bracelet with the watch as opposed to buying it later? Unless you couldn't get a discount on the bracelet of course.

I do agree with you though. I'd get it on steel and get an extra strap, then you have options.
