My local just got in the superocean II. Since I've been waiting for this watch to show up for months, I was more than happy to finally put it on, even if it's not the yellow one I want. Anyway, since I always prefer wristshots to digitized ad shots, I thought I'd share. FYI, I have a 7" wrist, and usually wear a 44mm Oris meistertaucher, or a 40mm speedmaster. So this watch wears PERFECT for me. A superior balance between a sleek dress watch and a chunky tool watch. I love the classic simplicity of the dial, and the modern flair it gets from the numerals and colored insert. The case size is (finally!) wearable, as most Breitlings tend to be monstrously tall and pocket-catching-ly sharp-edged. But this is flat and rounded and smooth. My gripes are typical: it's not "really" a diver with no 15 or 20 minute gradations in the bezel, NONE of the bezel glows, and only a couple dots and 3 indices on the dial are luminous. Finally, I have no idea how well a "rubber coated" bezel will stand up to abuse - and I put my watches thru hell. That said, a COSC caliber 17 that goes 5000 ft. and fits my wrist AND is customizable to my fashion tastes made by timepiece powerhouse Breitling, and all for less than what I paid for my last Oris!? I can't afford NOT to pull the trigger on this one! (oh, by the way, hi everyone! I'm John. This is my first post!)

i'd also consider taking it in silver like this (even though it looks EXACTLY like the new sea dweller)

If I ever walk into an AD and see the yellow SO I'm gonna be up the creek because i dont think I can resist it. Great shots, thanks for sharing!

My AD is leery about selling these. I keep telling them order as many as you can get your hands on - they are going to leap out of the display case. I'm still toying with the idea of the yellow Abyss on an OR. Just "toying" mind you.

OR over the DPII? Come on!!

BTW....John did you make the purchase? If so, congrats! I once tried to take wrist shots in a Tourneau and the manager almost had a heart attack...not sure why?

Just tried one on today, I think this is a sharp looking diver.

 too small, looked odd on my wrist ... oh well.

THATS my problem!

I absolutely fell in love with the yellow SOII
but when I tried it on I was very sad.

Yes on the right sized wrist it looks good, but then I guess the same can be said for the big stuff too. (The rubber bezel on the SO II is still a turn-off for me in person though).

I am really starting to like this watch...especially in the yellow. The only one I don't care for is the white. Although I am not typically a fan of the rubber bezel I think it makes this watch look that much better with the DP II and OR.

Is that why I like it so much :)

I am really looking forward to seeing this and agree with others - it would be a great beater for the weekends and vacations to the beach.

I'm somewhat hesitant about the size - I think it's a bit small to be a dive watch - but for recreational snorkeling and hitting up the beach, it could be fun. I just hope I like how it looks on my wrist.

I dont know what it is, but I still cannot accept that it is a Breitling. It looks like a Swatch

Now you know why;

"The gentlemen at Tourneau declined my offer to take pictures of them due to "company policy" against allowing pictures of the interior of the store."

John, thanks for sharing.
Did they have it with a leather strap by any chance?
