This was my first, what I would consider, luxury watch. This was purchased for me (even though I told them what I wanted exactly) by my gf and her mother as a birthday gift several years ago. I am traveling this weekend to see my gf and decided I would show her that I still enjoy wearing it! With my SA being my current everyday watch, putting this watch on is a very big difference. I think its about 42mm not sure though, a lot thinner for sure than the SA. After a fews hours of getting used to the smaller size each time I wear it I am reminded of why I was drawn to this watch in the first place. The multi-link high polished bracelet is beautiful, the dial is simple and elegant and the sweeping second hand is lovely. I miss a "true" sweeping second hand a lot with my SA (I know you can run the chronograph but its just not the same to me). This backs up the statement that sometimes, less is more. It doesnt get much wrist time and have thought about selling it, but there are two main reasons I dont. First, it wouldnt fetch that much, probably $300 or so so Im not missing out on a lot of $ by keeping it. Secondly, this is the one watch that I own that I have a deep emotional attachment to. Now I know this isnt the quality of a Breitling but for $500 I dont think you can beat Tissot. What do you guys think of the watch? Do you have one watch that means something more to you than any of your other pieces?

I guess my first "luxury" watch was a TAG that I got for HS graduation, it got stolen from my room while I was in the Navy. My mom then bought me another that lasted for about 8 or 9 years until I stuck my hand in a fish tank and TAG wanted $1000 to fix it. It's still broken 4 years later. I never knew that the seals needed to be replaced. No pics of it but I never had any problems with it, until the fish tank thing that is.
