I was headed out to the Saudi Royal Air Force air show and decided I needed an aviation themed watch on a sand coloured strap to match the local camouflage theme of the planes, so ended up with this:

Pretty nice! But the real stunner was born when I was back, I decided to get a bit more inventive and tried this combo, A Rolex DSSD on a croco Pilot strap. Unbelievable!!! Totally different watch and looks absolutely stunning! Had quite a few people stop me and ask "hey whats that on your wrist??!"

:Barf: on the deepsea with the leather. Just looks so wrong to me. Whatever floats your boat though.

Wow you have some massive wrists, that Rolex DeepSea looks microscopic on you.

Not feeling the DeepSea on the 5004 Big Pilot strap mate .. :)

Dont mind the sand coloured strap on the 5004 - but if you had a 5002, that strap would be killer.

I never thought I would like a pilot strap on a diver watch, but seeing that made me think I should get a similar croc for the SOH.

The studs on the strap really highlight the polished finish.

I think that works well Altair but maybe not quite as well as the bracelet. I'm not surprised you received queries 8)

The sand coloured BP mix looked great!

That Deepsea on the pilot croco looks awesome, Altair! Not something I'd have ever thought of doing but it works really well.

I think both combos look great. Where did you get that Pilots strap from? I'm going to get a black strap for the Blackbird and I think something like that would look pretty sick on it.

The strap costs about 12,000 USD, but it comes with a nice IWC and a nifty box
