I have been spending a lot of time fishing as of late. I got the idea to go for something huge and found a forum that was breaking it down. As you all know, you learn a ton on the forums. With in the week I had purchased the gear and had my hook into a big fish. There are bigger ones out there and plan on doing it again soon. It takes a good crew of 3 solid guys to land the fish. It was nice to use the bezel on my soh to time the 45 minute fight with the fish. It is a huge rush and I highly recommend it, however it is highly addictive.....

Sounds like a rush, I'd love to experience that one day.

Yeah the sketchy part is taking the hook out. This is a sand tiger shark and it was actually caught off the shore just south of ocean city md. I just ordered the new superocean, maybe I should get a shark skin strap for it!

Good catch and count me on the shark skin strap, I too recently bought a SO and have been specing out shark and stingray to find a nice, waterproof summer strap.

Oh, you used hook and line to catch? Here I thought you dove in after dark and caught it bare-handed with the aid of those nifty 'headlamps' your donning.

Sounds like a cool experience!
