Dear Friends Here are some pictures of my second Breitling watch: Aeromarine Colt II Quartz – Silver Dial. ![]() ![]() ![]() I bought it recently, online, from “Alan Furman Co.” (http://www.alanfurman.com), just as I did my Montbrillant. Everything I said about my Montbrillant holds true for Colt as well: the watch arrived properly boxed, sealed and insured, brand new, with serial number intact, and with ALL the boxes and papers including warranty card (stamped, signed and dated) and COSC certificate (Thank You, Carissa !) ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The Colt is bigger than my Montbrillant, but its dial is actually smaller due to the rider tabs bezel. Even though its diameter is 41.10mm it does not look oversized on my wrist. Sure, it has strong appearance because of its 13.30mm height. And, yes, it is heavier than Montbrillant. I am aware of it when Colt is on my wrist. ![]() At the beginning I thought of buying it with blue or black dial. But once I tried and compared Black dial and Silver dial there was no doubt: I liked Silver dial much, much more. That is not to say that Black dial is not nice. It is. Very much so. But on my wrist it looked significantly smaller than Silver dial. Also, because of strong contrast between dial colour and numbers colour, Black dial has stronger character. Probably a bit too strong for my taste. But Black dial has undeniably better readability. Nevertheless, it was Silver dial that won my heart. And of my wife’s too. Despite its size and heaviness, somehow it looks so cute, so charming… Exactly right for my childish, tiny wrist. ![]() ![]() ![]() As can be seen I changed the original OEM calf leather strap for a smaller and more supple one. For those who never saw it live, yes the dial really has that creamy, off white colour. Though why Breitling termed it Silver still eludes me. Most probably because “Silver” is stronger word for marketing. Anyway, I really like that colour. Somehow it makes Colt a kind of understatement watch, if something like that could be said for Breitling models. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Just like it is the case with any other Breitling watch, in reality Colt looks much more impressive, much more beautiful than my pictures can convey. But I hope my pictures show it in good stance. I hope you enjoy it. Kind regards to everybody |

Nice pics. I know what you mean about the dial. It does have a creamy look to it, not much of a silver at all. I really think that the Colt is such a great value! Enjoy! |
