I know these Defy 43 Elites are not popular and that’s probably why Zenith just discontinued them. I like them in the flesh quite a bit. Black was picked up a couple months ago in a trade for a SOC and the white yesterday at AD for ½ off, out the door. Water resistant 1000 feet, the black has kept best time of any of my watches. And the fit on my wrist is like no other watch I own. Just right. I think I’ll keep them – in house movement and all.

Keep an eye out because they have been miserable sellers for Zenith. I think if this same watch was made by a better known brand with a straight ETA movement, they would really sell. But here we have a $7,200 retail! Plus Zenith devoted much of it's Defy efforts to what I consider the ridiculous Extreme version.

My AD planned to sell out the remaining stock at 50% off and I reserved the white dial. By the time I picked it up AD had worked out a buy back trade with Zenith. Deal can be had, but as was noted on another thread, the resale value won't be good so plan on keeping it. It is a solid long term watch, so I'm keeping mine.

No, it is the Elite class movement. Still in house, but not a 36,000 BPH movement.
