Thank God for an understanding AD. I opted for a much simpler and more readable dial than the Chronomaster I got a few days ago. Here it is on the bracelet, but it looks better IMO on the chocolate alligator. I’ve don’t recall ever seeing a dial this particular shade of grey, but I like it’s understated elegance. Well, today I do anyway. :?

I agree with your assessment, this one is less confusing and easier to read. The previous model looked a little weird with the wide blue stripe in the dial IMO. I assume the small seconds is the black tipped hand in the 'open heart' area?

Now, stay away from your AD for a while and enjoy it!

I think that I preferred the other one, but who the heck cares about that - if this is the right one for you then congrats.

The Zenith grey is a very unusual and appealing shade.

The main problem I had with the other one and some of the less "plain" Chronomaster dials, is I had trouoble telling the time.

Oh! I saw this flyback chrono in the display - hour and minute sub-totalizers, moon phase at 6, and day, date a,and months apertures all on a white and silver guilloche. MAN! At 43 mm that one is in the running in a couple months. List - $13,000 on bracelet. But I don't think I'll ever get that Breguet Type XXII out of my head.

I'm with Roff on this one but thats a beauty too! That bracelet is the business though, much better than a strap IMO.

Still a great looking watch!

Cheers

I did not like the stripe on the other dial, this one is much cleaner looking....although I loved the choco croc strap. Nice pick up!

Oh but I kept the chocolate alligator strap. Just didn't have time to swap out for pics. It looks quite nice IMHO.

Good call keeping the gator strap! That's going to look amazing.

Wow, that is a beautiful watch. I'm not too big a fan of Zenith's  but that is an outstanding watch. Good luck with it.

Sharkman, what can I say... I am jealous. You have aquired more watches in such a short time that I'll never be able to catch up!

You have raised the bar.

Yes but I sold/trade too, so the total # has remained constant for the last couple months but the diversity has increased.

I got a late start - first nice watch at 52 and I'll be 53 in August. Time's a wasting.

Looking at this watch, I cant stop thinking that someone with a black eye is smiling at me.

I couldn't agree more - if a black eye has highly decorated bridges, a half dozen visible jewels, a balance wheel whirring faster than any I've seen, and the amazing site of 2 pallet jewels stopping and releasing the escapment wheel 10 distinct times per second.

Yessir, couldn't agree more.
