Just picked up this morning from my AD, still has that "new watch smell"
I bought a brown Croco strap with deployant for it too, more pics to come...

Congratulations! This really is my favourite Breitling, at least till the Skyland Avenger Blacksteel came along. Now it is a tossup. Great pictures, some of the best I have seen of the Blackbird! To me, although not a Limited Edtition, the Blackbird is a very special model. It has the B44 Caliber, which is incredible with the big date. It is the only Breitling that I know of, where the date has a black background, or anything different than traditional white. The stainless steel band with the faceted edges is also unique to the Blackbird, as is the finish on the case back. I really like it's understated look. Wear it in good health! Cheers, Carl |

Wow! I certainly would never have thought of that combination of leather strap and watch. I cannot say that the strap does not suit the Blackbird. It gives it an entirely different look, still very classy I would say. Because the Blackbird has that faceted pilot bracelet which is unique to that model, I personally would hesitate to change that. But you already have that bracelet anyway, so now you have the choice. The Blackbird is my favourite Breitling, second only now to my new Avenger Skyland Blacksteel. Until I saw the Blacksteel, the Blackbird was going to be my 60th birthday present. Well, maybe it still will be. It really is an outstanding timepiece, with all of the things that make it unique in the Windrider line. I can totally understand why you love it! Cheers, Carl |
