IMO this watch should get more respect. So far only two votes for it on the poll I'm conducting. I just don't get it. Mechanical movement exclusive to this model only, a great looking dial, a respectable 43mm in size so not really ostracizing many small or large wristed in the population, nice and fairly heavy at 124 grams the way most folks like them. My bet is, if this watch sold for a comparable price to say the SA it would sell like hotcakes.

Great looking watch Sharkman! :lingsrock:

Obviously I agree. I was torn between this one and the Raven model, but while the Raven looked killer on the Diver Pro II it just didn't work on the Pro II bracelet or a leather strap, whereas this one looks great on rubber, polished SS, and a black or brown leather strap. I enjoy playing with different looks for each watch and have worn it on the Pro II, Diver II, and brown calf. And of course the Diver II with deployment looks great on my Steelfish and Blackbird. Cost including tax with the Pro II bracelet was $4300 US. Not bad at all.

In fact I have to run as I just got a call from my AD that a strap order is in. Lot's of playing with looks ahead in my afternoon!

I agree I looked at this but due to the large price difference I ended up with the SA for my everyday watch. Any reason this one is so much more? Is it the functions on the watch?

Based on other threads the consensus seems to be that it's over-priced. I adore the look though with the slide rule bezel and it does have two separate 2 hand totalizers. It has a caliber 27 (38 jewels) and I believe but am not certain no other Breitling uses this movement.

But the extra for me that makes it worth more is you just don't see it around. Petty and superficial perhaps - sue me.

That watch has truly grown on me! You have a beautiful piece there, great combo going on. Congrats and enjoy it!

Yeah it's really grown on me too. I can't recommend the Diver Pro II w/ deployment clasp enough. It is ridiculosly pricey (the clasp is about $350 retail !!) but it is by far the most comfortable strap or bracelet yet. And the small adjustments in the clasp itself make for easy sizing while wearing the watch. And the understated simplicity of the Diver Pro II does not distract from the watch like I believe some other Breitling straps do, but that's just a reflection of my personal taste.

I'm going to trade in my black dial Steelfish and black dial CSO for the Raven Syracer - slate grey dial and a black Heritage 46. The only question on the Heritage is MESH BRACELET or DP II with deployment. Could use some help on this one. Anyone?

The mesh is a classic look but for me it would have to be DP ll.

Thanks I'm leaning towards it as well. The mesh is cool, but maybe just too throwback for me.

I received a complimentary band of my choice with my recent SA purchase and chose the DP II and I absolutely love it, so I'd have to agree with you on that choice of strap!
