How about a "plane vanilla" flyback cousin in 1680X1050 widescreen monitor format?....

Hi, Whizzler. Because the 1680X1050 resolution is the same 16/10 ratio as your 1440X900 resolution, you can do it yourself by "losslessly" compressing the image using "Irfanview" which is "freeware" on the web. Simply download Irfanview from their web site and install it on your computer. Save the image you want to your desktop. Using Irfanview, open the picture, go to "image" at the top and scroll down to "resize/resample", type "1440" into the width and the height will automatically go to 900. Save the image as a jpeg and put it on your desktop as wallpaper. There you have it... :? :D
Best,
Ron

PS. Is there a particular watch or pic you want for a background shot for your widescreen monitor?

Thanks for the tip Ron, the software is great! I'm especially keen on the Emergency at the moment, I don't suppose you have any nice pics of one in your arsenal?
