I got the chance to buy the regular mortors bezel at a really good price so i snatched it up

I love the motors T bezel on my watch but there is something about the regular motors bezel on the brushed motors T case. It looks really cool.

I thought that it would be hard to change, but it was very easy and only took about 10mins to swap them around. Most of the time spent is making sure you have the flathead lined up correctly so you don't scratch your bezel.

I think i'll swap them back and forth from time to time just to get a different look.

Tell me what you guys think

Nice to have the option, but personally I think the brushed T case looks better with the original T bezel. I think it looks more sporty that way.

And while I love the original Motors bezel I think it is more dressy which suits the polished Motors case a little better.

It certainly gives it a totally different look though, so for the price of a bezel (which I think was only around £120 here in the UK) you have two very different looks! Nice one!

Can you buy a new bezel from Breitling? If I had a Motors T and wanted the Motors bezel, could I just order one through my AD, or do I need to try and find a less "authorized" source??

Thanks,

--M

I know for a fact that you used to be able to via regional AD service centres (i.e. AD's approved as service centres), although I think Breitling have abolished the AD service centres, certainly in the UK. As these service centres appear to have now gone I would imagine getting hold of parts is very difficult.

I asked about purchasing a gold Motors T bezel a long time back when I was considering making a custom TT Motors using genuine gold parts by buying them from Breitling. The parts were actually very simple to order as all they wanted was a model number of the gold Motors. I even spoke to Breitling about whether they'd service a watch thus modified and to my amazement they said they would! The only thing was they said they wouldn't be able to provide any guarantee for the service.

Ultimately I didn't carry on with the project (even after I'd bought a second Motors for the purposes of it!!!) as I couldn't find a single watchmaker prepared to undertake the work. (And needless to, no Breitling certainly wouldn't have done it!). I also went off the idea of creating something that was non-standard.

I don't think they will sell you one. As D8 said, the AD said that you have to give a serial number to the watch and brietling won't do it. That's what they told me anyway.

But funny enough the will brush a regular motors to look like the motors T case...go figure. Ordering a bezel is considered a modification.

I actually ordered mine from a US dealer who did a diamond bezel on a motors, and the guy did'nt want the regular one.

Is your watch a fake? I ask because I don't see the batons on the face (markers for the hours).

Am I whacked?

Never mind. I just took a pic of mine Motors and the batons didn't show up in my pic either. Maybe they're "magic-batons"?

The watch is authentic. I didn't realize, until you pointed it out, the batons don't show up. If you look closely you can faintly see them.

As far as buying parts from breitling ADs, It's a no. I was told numerous times that they would not order me one and they also said that the bezels were not interchangable. I found a motors bezel on ebay from someone that put a diamond bezel on their watch. I had the breitling AD exchange the bezels and I think it looks really good.
