Hello,

I am new to this forum and I just wanted to add my new Emergency Mission watch to this gallery. I am a "rookie" to Breitling watches in general. I saw this watch about a year ago in a magazine and since then I was saving to buy one.. I finally saved enough, so I went last week to order one through jewelry store..Watch came in today and store called me up to pick it up... I like blue color so I decided to special order one with blue dial and blue bracelet....Thx..here are some pictures...I hope you guys like it..

I love it!! Great buy. You can always get a bracelet later if you want. I really like the blue on blue. Great watch and strap.

Strap or bracelet, that is a stunning watch! Looks great in the catalogue and even better on the wrist. Congrats on your purchase. Since I don't own one, I'm curious... when you purchased, did the AD have you sign some sort of agreement not to use the 'emergency' function unless in dire need? Is there a policy on that?

Hello Withnail21,
Yes, they gave me "Agreement of Sale" (I think) and you have sign it. On that agreement, it clearly explains why NOT to use "emergency" function or you will be reliable for all expenses..It clearly states when to use it.. They take your drivers licence, address, occupation...etc. You have to sign two of those agreements. One goes to Breitling USA and one goes to Breitling International. I am guessing you have to be registered on both sides of the pond (Europe and USA)
I hope this answer your question...Let me know if you need anything else concerning Emergency..

That's quite the responsibility. The temptation to unscrew that little antennae would be a challenge for a number of people. I just read in another thread that the fine is around $60,000 US for misuse - YIKES!

Again, fantastic watch, great colour too!

Hello Withnail21,

There are some speculations around the price. I actually never got "right" price. Does anybody know if its fixed price? I "think" it depends on what kind of situations you are in. If you are in the mountains (skiing, camping, mountain climbing...etc) or water (plane crash or something like that) and you need a rescue i think it would be $60K, but I dont know about urban areas accidents..It might be less then that. I am just throwing ideas!! Maybe some people in this forum would give better understanding on what price would be...
Only reason I got this watch is that I am avid skier and camper. Skiing vise, I always have in back of mind that something might happened during ski trips or if I get cought in a snow storm or something. You never know whats gonna happen, so I like to depend on something that "might" save my life in future...
Just to tell you an example how good is to have this watch sometimes; I had an incident in Europe during a ski trip. When I was 16, 2 of my friends and I actually got lost for 3-4 hours during a snow storm in Europe (no cell phone available that time). Our mistake was that we took last of the last runs to the top of the mountain and we took a trail we did know that well....Windy as hell, and all snow trails were erased by the wind. We had no idea where we were going. We actually had to stop and wait. If snow storm had never stopped (it was already getting dark) I would have pulled the antena out and wait (if I had a watch that time)... Those kind of things really freak me out, and now I know that I can depend on this watch to save my butt... :D :D

After that sort of experience, I agree, I would definitely be wearing this watch. Good to see you made it out okay. I've seen a few programmes showing stories of people who didn't. Scary stuff!

Thanks Roffensian, that was the thread I was referring to.
